I’m Maria Lopez, born in Medellín, Colombia, raised in the U.S., and now based in St. Petersburg, Florida. My path has never followed one straight line. It has moved through movement, travel, tech start-ups, and production—different worlds connected by a curiosity about people and the ways we experience life.
Movement was one of my first forms of expression. A background in cheerleading and dance led me into yoga, mobility, and mixed movement arts. I began my yoga teacher training in 2014 and have taught everyone from children to athletes. That work continues to shape how I approach teaching and photography: paying attention, making room for individuality, and helping people feel comfortable enough to express themselves.
My work has also taken me behind the scenes: supporting teams in tech, producing events, coordinating travel, and working with international documentary crews, including a UN climate action campaign. I’ve learned to move between the creative idea and the practical work that brings it to life. Travel runs through all of it, opening conversations and bringing me into contact with cultures, communities, and landscapes that stay with me.
Archive of Intuition brings these threads together. Today I create photographs, teach movement, and host travel experiences. I’m drawn to honest moments, thoughtful collaborations, and the things we notice when we slow down enough to pay attention. Whether we’re making images, sharing a practice, or exploring somewhere new, I want the experience to feel personal, connected, and alive.
